Skill Level: Easy
Old greeting card.
Felt (I used one of the 9x12 pieces that cost 25-50 cents).
*OR- use 1/8" hole punch, needle and yarn to hand sew
I cut my piece of felt in half and then half again for a total of four pieces from that original 9x12 piece. I decided that two pieces of felt would be enough space for needles and not too thick for the card.
Mine doesn't look so pretty because I didn't change some of my setting on the machine (tensions, feed dogs, etc). I really just needed a quick needle book and whipped this up on the fly and now I'm reminded of my snarky little sister each time I reach for a needle!
*HAND SEWING INSTEAD: If you have a small hole punch (1/8"), you could punch holes along the side of the card. Then simply hand sew the felt pieces inside.
And, honestly, hand sewing would probably look neater than the machine sewing.
(or at least when you rush in like me & don't change your machine settings properly!)
